Day 76

Shelter in Place Day 76
LA County has finally allowed salons to open up. I can finally get my hair cut. The Husbear has been wanting to do it for days, but it’s not that I don’t trust him, it’s just I really like our stylist. I don’t want to cheat on her. Anyway, I woke up to find an Instagram post from her saying that she’s got a sinus infection and will not be available to cut hair until she’s finished with her antibiotics. I commented on her post and wrote: Take care of you, I will not cut this mane of hair, because I know your scissors will have a great day with it!
Her post stated that there was zero time to order masks, gloves, capes, etc. She also didn’t know when she’d be back in the salon as there are no guidelines from the board of cosmetology or the CDC. Please be patient and thank you.
To which, I have to admit, I’m glad that she’s looking out for our best interest. The salon where she works is small, but still has like six stations in it. A row of sinks and two hairdryers, very tight in the small salon. I’m happy she’s concerned for everyone involved.
So what if I look like heat mizer, I’m still healthy and I plan on only seeing her when she’s ready for us, I’m just glad she was able to stay in California and not fly home to Florida. We’ve been through too many stylists.

Has your salon been able to open?
