Rainbow Snippets Feb 4-5

Rainbow Snippets is a group for LGBTQIA authors, readers, and bloggers to gather once a week to share six sentences from a work of fiction–a WIP or a finished work or even a 6-sentence book recommendation (no spoilers please!).

In this group, you’ll find anything from romance and historical fiction to mystery and YA. The common thread is that every story’s main character identifies as LGBTQIA. The snippets could range from zero flames to full-on sexytimes; anything goes content-wise. The only rule is snippets will be six sentences long–one for each color in the Pride flag.”

Welcome to another Saturday filled with Rainbow Snippets!

The link below will take you to the public Facebook group where you find both new and established authors posting bits from their WIPs and new releases:

Now I can’t keep the stories out of my head; the Husbear said the other day that I had a Plot Bunny cage in my head. So, in addition to TD&TM, I’ve also just started working on a Chanukah story for a holiday call. The tentative title is A Light in the Darkness, but I might make it Eight Seductive Days. I’m not sure if I’ll be posting that, but I might be looking for some alpha readers for it soon.

For my Birthday weekend, I give you a little more of the opening of The Doctor & The Mechanic.

“I don’t think I can learn, you know they say, you can’t teach an old dog new tricks. And you are the newest.” He laughed.

“Am I just a trick?” Curtis moved to sit up on the edge of the bed. “Would you like some coffee?”

I want an answer to that first question…

Happy Birthday Weekend, and sometime we should compare plot bunny cages.

Nice snippet. I wonder if he is just a trick?

Happy Birthday! 🎉
I love how Curtis moved so (seemingly) casually between those two questions.
