Rainbow Snippets June 11-12

Rainbow Snippets is a group for LGBTQIA authors, readers, and bloggers to gather once a week to share six sentences from a work of fiction–a WIP or a finished work or even a 6-sentence book recommendation (no spoilers please!).

In this group you’ll find anything from romance and historical fiction to mystery and YA. The common thread is that every story’s main character identifies as LGBTQIA. The snippets could range from zero flames to full-on sexytimes, anything goes content-wise. The only rule is snippets will be 6 sentences long–one for each color in the Pride flag.”

Welcome to another Saturday filled with Rainbow Snippets!

The link below will take you to the public Facebook group where you find both new and established authors posting bits from their WIPs and new releases:

Today, this just fit with the picture that Charley Descoteaux posted today for the Rainbow Snippets. I’m not saying who has it and who sees it, you’ll have to wait to find out. So, here is another snippet from my current #WIP, PS. I’ll be looking for beta readers next week, if you are interested, please drop me a line.

I stretched out my legs and looked at the cut of his hair, how it was trimmed, a straight cut across the back, how his ear was curved and the lobe a reminder of what rose above it. I rose my head up and looked along his arm. Peaking just out from the edge of his shirt sleeve I saw the beginning of some words written. I pulled the shirt up and saw that it said, in thick black ink ‘worth ;t!’ I’d never noticed before, and for the life of me, I couldn’t imagine what it meant. I slipped the sleeve back down when he rolled over.

  1. Intriguing description, the way each details reveals itself, leaving the position of the narrator an unfolding mystery, hinting at intimacy.
