Rainbow Snippets March 19-20

“Rainbow Snippets is a group for LGBTQIA authors, readers, and bloggers to gather once a week to share six sentences from a work of fiction–a WIP or a finished work or even a 6-sentence book recommendation (no spoilers please!).

In this group you’ll find anything from romance and historical fiction to mystery and YA. The common thread is that every story’s main character identifies as LGBTQIA. The snippets could range from zero flames to full-on sexytimes, anything goes content-wise. The only rule is snippets will be 6 sentences long–one for each color in the Pride flag.”

Welcome to another Saturday filled with Rainbow Snippets!

The link below will take you to the public Facebook group where you find both new and established authors posting bits from their WIPs and new releases:

(I’ve totally snagged everything from Heloise West, brilliant beginning and explanation.

Today’s post is six sentences from my newest WIP, Dante & Brooks. This section might be removed from the book, but if that is the case, I do have a plot bunny for these two characters working in the back of my mind.

Dante & Brooks WIPLeo looked over at the coffee maker at the tough looking, well-built man. “He doesn’t look fat, why would they call him Chubs?”

Dante chuckled as he tapped Leo on the shoulder, motioning with his eyes to look down. “It’s not his weight that gave him that nickname.”

TQ moved across the room, looked at Chubs, who in turn moved towards them as well. “Yes, what can I do for you gentlemen?”

  1. *snorts* Chubs!
BTW, the blurb from the group is Charlie’s original opening to the Rainbow Snippets–I’m too lazy to change it to her more recent one 😉
